Davis keen to take Fulham forward on loan
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he has been impressed enough by the young Finnish striker Lauri Dalla Valle to take him on loan for a month. The Alex boss may well try to sign him on a month’s loan before tomorrow night’s trip to Doncaster Rovers.
Dalla Valle joined us on Friday in FA Cup week and has trained with us over the last couple of days.
Davis and his coaching staff have been suitably impressed by the 21-year-old and feels he has the ability to make a difference to our attack, especially with AJ Leitch-Smith and Max Clayton.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Fulham kindly gave us an opportunity to have a look at Lauri with it being FA Cup week for us and they said he could play for us in an Under-21 game if we wanted to, but we have seen something in him in training, which makes us thing he will make a difference to us.
“Fulham told us that if we saw something before he played for the Under-21s and we could do something quickly then we could. They have been really good with us and we hope we can do something and take him on loan.
“We will have him here for a month initially and take it from there. He is quick and mobile and take goals. Her has experience of this league and can play on the shoulder, a bit like Max.
He added: “He is lively and has fitted in well and we thing he would make a good addition to us.”
