Chuks Eager To Stay

8 November 2012

Chuks Aneke is keen to extend his stay at Gresty Road

Teenager Chuks Aneke is hoping his loan spell at the Alexandra Stadium can continue after this weekend’s match with Colchester United. Aneke, 19, is really beginning to find his feet in the Football League and arguably had his most influential game at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night. It was his superb through pass that created the all-important opening goal for his fellow loanee Lauri Dalla Valle and he remained a constant threat playing off the front.

Aneke has settled at Crewe and is hoping that he can continue to gain first-team experience for at least another month.

Chuks told the club’s official web-site:  “
Playing in the league and in competitive matches is different to what I am used to and it has taken me a bit of time to adapt, but I feel as though I am getting there.

“I am starting to impose myself more on the matches. I am pleased with my recent performances and I am just pleased to be playing in as many games as I’ve have.

“As long as I am wanted here and I am playing then I am delighted to be here. The lads and staff have been great with me, so I’d love to stay here for as long as it suits everyone.”
