Alex boss signs his new contract with the club
Crewe Alexandra Football Club is pleased to confirm that our first team manager Steve Davis has signed a new contract with the club this afternoon.
Davis, 47, was appointed Crewe Alexandra manager in November 2011, succeeding Dario Gradi after originally arriving at the club as assistant manager to Icelander Gudjon Thordarson. Steve went on to lead the club to promotion via a Play-Off Final victory over Cheltenham at Wembley Stadium in May.
He has lost just 13 of his 58 games in charge and has guided Crewe Alexandra into 14th place in League One. He takes his Crewe Alexandra side to Preston North End this weekend.
