Nick Powell accepts his North West Player Of The Year Award
Our former player Nick Powell attended our game against Burton Albion in the FA Cup on Saturday and before kick-off the now Manchester United starlet was presented with the his North West Player Of the Year award for npower League Two following his superb performances for Crewe Alexandra during our promotion winning season. Powell, 18, scored 16 goals in all competitions, including the best for last at Wembley in the Play-Off Final.
Powell was presented with his trophy by his former team-mate Steve Phillips. Nick is helping Steve with his charity fund raising by signing prints of his Wembley goal. Goalkeeper and coach Steve Phillips is fundraising for two great causes, Caudwell Children’s Charity and Leukaemia research, as part of his London-To-Paris bike ride in June.
