Steve Davis on Howe and the Bournemouth test
Steve Davis says that this weekend’s home game with Bournemouth will be an intriguing test for his players. Davis has praised the job Eddie Howe has done on his return to Dean Court from Burnley and the in-form Cherries remain unbeaten under their young manager. Davis says that his own in-form team have nothing to fear and says that home support could make the deciding difference in what should be an enjoyable encounter just before Christmas.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “It will be a real test against Bournemouth because they are unbeaten under Eddie. Whatever he has done has worked again. He has worked his magic there and got them going again.
“They are in a rich vein of from but we have been pleased with our recent form as well and it is a game we look forward to. They are a big club with a big budget and the players will be relishing the challenge.
He says: “Our players have not quite exceeded my expectations but they are very close. There has been no secret to that, it has been down to sheer hard work. The players are steadily improving and we are looking forward to it.”
