Striker back in training after foot injury

Crewe Alexandra’s on-loan striker from Fulham, Lauri Dalla Valle has resumed training and will be available for selection again ahead of this weekend’s home match with Bury. Dalle Valle, who extended his loan deal with us for another month earlier this week, missed Saturday’s impressive 3-1 win over Preston North End after suffering a foot injury against Doncaster in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

The Finnish Under-21 International needed three stitches in a wound thus ruling him out of Saturday’s trip to Deepdale. Although injured, Dalla Valle still travelled to cheer on his team-mates.

Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “Lauri has done really well for us and scored four goals in seven goals. We had a sit down and asked if he wanted to stay with us and he said yes. We spoke to Fulham, who have been very good and it was sorted out pretty quickly.

“He is enjoying himself and is enjoying playing. We have a lot of games coming up and it is nice to have those striking options available to me. “
