Crewe Alexandra Under 23s recorded victory for the second straight game with a 2-1 result over Nottingham Forest at Reaseheath.
Following on from the 6-0 triumph over Cheadle Town in the Cheshire Senior Cup, Alex Morris' side were boosted by the presence of Eddie Nolan who was making his comeback appearance after injury.
The 2017/18 Player of the Year played 45 minutes in central defence alongside Michael Raynes - with Raynes himself scoring the eventual match-winning goal before half-time.
Forest took the lead in the first period, but Lewis Reilly drew Crewe level from the penalty spot.
Raynes then notched his goal before GK Will Jaaskelainen saved a second half Forest penalty to ensure all three points in the Professional Development League 2 for the side.
