Crewe: Jaaskelainen, Johnson, O'Connor, Lynch, Lundstram, Offord, Finney, Lowery, Adebisi, Heath, Linton (Robbins, 80)

Alex Morris' Crewe Alexandra Under 23 side made it five wins on the bounce as they overcame Hull City 3-2 on Humberside.

Second half Luke Offord, Oli Finney & Tommy Lowery strikes helped the Alex to come from behind to clinch victory and move the side up to sixth in the PDL2 table.

The Tigers took the lead from the penalty spot early on after Offord was adjudged to have handled in the area. Robbie McKenzie stepped up to score, but Will Jaaskelainen almost kept the effort out.

Crewe started to show promise before half-time, but it was after the break when they came alive & Offord made amends for the penalty ten minutes into the second period, looping a header into the roof of the net after pinball in the box.

65 minutes on the clock & the turnaround was complete, Finney being sent through one-on-one from halfway, steadying himself on the edge of the box & side-footing into the far corner.

Crewe made it three goals within 19 second half minutes when Lowery curled a 20-yard free-kick over the wall & into the corner, beating Tigers goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes at his near post.

Ahmed Salem did head Hull back into the game with seven minutes left on the clock, but Crewe defended out the remainder of the game professionally to secure the points.

Alex Morris' troops now face Bolton Wanderers at Gresty Road on Friday 30 November with a 1pm kick-off.
