U23: Crewe Take On Bristol City At Gresty Road

13 March 2019

Crewe Alexandra Under 23s host Bristol City at the Alexandra Stadium today in the Professional Development League, 1pm kick-off.

Entry into the stadium is free of charge to all supporters, with access being gained via the side-gate along Gresty Road. Entry is open for the Main Stand only & the ground floor tea bar will be open serving confectionary & hot/cold drinks.

Alex Morris' side were denied three points last time out as Millwall equalised in the 94th minute in a 1-1 draw at The Den.

It's unclear how many first team squad members, if any, will get a run out, with the first team having played at Cambridge United last night.

The regular first year pros are all expected to play however, with Travis Johnson, Joe Lynch & Regan Griffiths set to be at the heart of the side.

There won't be any social media updates provided by The Alex for the game, but Bristol City may or may not offer this service via their channels.

Under-23s Enjoy Deserved Win Over Robins

13 March 2019

Apologies, this video is unvailable.

Alex Morris' Under-23 side win 3-0 at home to Bristol City.

Alex midfielder Ollie Finney was on target again for the club’s Under-23s this afternoon as Alex Morris’ side enjoyed a relatively comfortable 3-0 win at Gresty Road.  Finney gave Crewe a 1-0 half time lead and he was heavily involved in the second goal but defender Travis Johnson looked to have applied the final tough to take it over the line.

Forward Lewis Reilly (pictured) completed the scoring with a third with just over 20 minutes left and young Regan Griffiths also struck the woodwork as the Crewe youngsters went in search of even more goals in a game they controlled for large periods.
