Chelsea FC loanee did the damage for Leeds United on his comeback from injury, scoring both goals as Crewe Alex were beaten 2-0 at Thorp Arch.

Brown poached late in the first half before finishing off a fine team move 14 minutes from time to cap a dominant display from the Whites.

In a team also featuring regular first teamer Kalvin Phillips who is currently serving a three-game-suspension from the first team, Leeds attacked the Alex throughout & it was only some good defending & organisation that helped to keep the score down.

The opener arrived in the 44th minute, Brown arriving at the back post to bundle home from close range from Bryce Hossanah's low cross after good work by Jordan Stevens & Jamie Shackleton.

The Alex goal lived a charmed life in the second period but the second did arrive with 76 minutes on the clock, Brown finishing off a flowing Leeds move. It was once-touch passing to get into the area involving subs Robbie Gotts & Leif Davis with the clinical striker Brown eventually sweeping the ball home.

A tough assignment completed for the Alex who stay fifth in the PDL2 North table, whilst Leeds move to top spot with the win.

Up next for Alex Morris side, a week's break before a trip to Bolton Wanderers on Monday 28 January, 7pm.
