Crewe: Richards, Trialist, Johnson, Lynch (Sass-Davies, 86), Lundstram, Offord, Linton (Reilly, 66), Finney, Griffiths, Lowery, Dale
Goals: Finney (39), Dale (77)
Oliver Finney & Owen Dale fired the goals as Crewe Alexandra Under 23s came from behind to win 2-1 at Bolton Wanderers.
Wanderers took the lead with 19 minutes on the clock, Politic floating in a cross from the right wing & big striker Olawale Tanimowo planted his header home, leaving Dave Richards with no chance.
The Alex stopper then made two good saves to deny Politic & Navarro as Crewe withstood most of the Bolton pressure in the opening half-hour.
The reward came in the 39th minute when Finney produced the equaliser. A cross came over from the right & Oli converted to level the scores.
The equaliser gave Alex Morris' side confidence & they attacked more freely after the break, Finney coming close from a direct free-kick before Dale put Crewe ahead.
That eventual match-winning goal came 13 minutes from time, finishing neatly at the far post after the Alex broke up-field at pace.
Wanderers piled on the pressure late on in search of an equaliser, but the defence held firm to complete an impressive victory & return to South Cheshire with all three points.
