U23 Report: Colwyn Bay 1-5 Crewe

Crewe Alexandra Under 23s beat Colwyn Bay 5-1 in their final pre-season friendly ahead of the new U23 Professional Development League 2 season.

Some first team squad members in need of minutes also got a run-out in North Wales including Callum Ainley & Dave Richards.

Lewis Reilly struck a brace with further goals coming from Luke Offord, Callum Ainley & Connor Heath on a comfortable night for Alex Morris' side. Alex Downes struck the consolation for Colwyn Bay.

Elsewhere, Lee Bell's Crewe Under 18s beat Sandbach United 4-2 in their friendly ahead of the new league season.

The fixtures for both under 23 & under 18 league campaigns will be confirmed shortly.
