The creative 29-year-old joined the Alex on an initial two-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months included in the agreement this summer.

Powell came through the ranks at West Ham before joining Millwall, where he spent three years. After spells at Ebbsfleet and Maidstone, he joined Crawley in 2019.

He made 151 appearances for the Reds, and in his final season he netted four times, and got five assists on his way to the club’s Player of the Season award.
