On loan goalkeeper Steve Phillips is hoping that Shaun Miller's recent success in front of goal will now be a catalyst for a strong end to the season for the Alsager-based forward. Miller has certainly grabbed his chance in recent weeks by scoring a late equaliser against Torquay United after coming on as a late substitute and then following that up with a wonderfully taken opener away at Burton Albion.
Miller has formed a new style partnership with Byron Moore and knows that he will have to remain at the top of his game with leading scorer Calvin Zola returning from his recent hamstring injury and Clayton Donaldson showing good form in the club's recent Cheshire Premier Cup win over Stockport County.
Phillips was delighted for Miller at the Pirelli Stadium and is now hoping that the 22-year-old can have a big impact between now and the end of the season.
Steve told the club's official web-site: "Shaun was really top drawer at Burton. He scored a top goal and he has the ability to be a very good player.
"He just needs to see that and believe what he can become because he is a very good finisher. Hopefully, his goals recently will give him more confidence and he can become a big player for us for the remainder of this season."
