Julien Baudet is hoping for a positive result against Doncaster Rovers following Saturday disappointing 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool United. The Alex centre-half was hugely disappointed with our latest defeat on the road and is looking for a response at the Alexandra Stadium this weekend.

The club's influential Frenchman told us: "We have got to take what happened to us at Hartlepool on the chin and work hard again to turn things around. There were not that many positives to take from the game and we know we have got to play a lot better against Doncaster or we will be beaten again.

"If we think Hartlepool was a tough game then Doncaster will be even tougher because they have proved to be one of the better sides at this level. We have shown in the past that we can compete with anyone at this level and we have got to raise ourselves on Saturday because we weren't at the races at Hartlepool.

Julien added: "We have to take the criticism and apologise to those fans who went to Hartlepool because we didn't put on a performance for them. It was a long journey and freezing cold and we didn't give them anything to cheer about.

"They weren't the only ones who were miserable because let me tell you the dressing room was very quiet. We knew none of us had done ourselves justice. We have to roll our sleeves up and start to find some consistency."
