Baudet Looks Forward To Forest Test
Crewe Alexandra's in-form central defender Julien Baudet returns to Nottingham this weekend hoping to get one over on his former rivals. As an ex-Notts County player, Baudet will expect some stick from the Forest faithful but the confident Frenchman will be hoping to help the team keep another clean sheet like they did on the final day of last season.
Ahead of Saturday's test against Colin Calderwood's side, Baudet told us: "It isn't about me or the fact that I am a former County player, it is about Crewe vs. Nottingham Forest.
"Forest are a massive club and are as usual tipped to go up. Their manager has done a good job there and I think that they will do this year. They missed out last season in the play-offs and I think they will have learnt from that disappointment.
"They have some outstanding players, players who should be in the league above, but we are in some decent form ourselves and can go there with confidence. There is a good spirit in our camp and we are looking forward to the challenge.
"I think as a player at this level, you look forward to playing the likes of Forest and Leeds united where there will be a huge crowd. We will be going to the City Ground looking for a positive result."
Baudet played 89 times for Notts County between 2004-06 before joining Crewe Alexandra on a free transfer in the summer of 2006.
