Bopp: "I Believe In This Club"
Midfielder Eugen Bopp is confident that Crewe can succeed in a bid of the play-off's next season.
Having joined his team-mates in training this week, Bopp, 23, remains confident that with the new faces in the dressing room and what will hopefully be a good pre-season under their belts there is no reason why the 2007/2008 season cannot be a successful one. And with his own assets in the team, he hopes that he can help the side push on for that top 6 finish.
Bopp told Crewe Alex World: "I think I can bring a bit of organisation to the team, I try to be a complete midfield player, working forwards, going backwards, going over things, bringing tackles into midfield and everything. So, hopefully maybe I can just bring a little bit of experience into the team and just do well for the team and help the them have a successful season.
"I think the team is good enough to do really well in League One, this is why I joined the team, I believe in this football club and the way they want to work in the future. So, I think if we can start off well we have a very good chance to be successful this season."
This is not the first time that Bopp has had a hand in the future of Crewe Alexandra, he scored the goal for Nottingham Forest in the final game of the season that kept us in the Championship back in 2005. However, it wasn't until he arrived at the club that he realised the impact he had already had here and now he is just happy to be playing for the Alex and getting acquainted with everyone associated with the club.
He says: "I never thought about the goal I scored at Forest, but since I came here people have reminded me of what happened a few years ago, at the time it was obviously great for Crewe.
"I'm just glad to be here, to be with the lads, bonding as a team and get to know the city, the fans and the football club and everything around it and just have a successful season.
