A central midfielder, who signed professional terms in June 2008 following a successful scholarship with the Alex Academy.
Luke first joined the club when he was 7 and first broke into the under 18's side when he was just 15. A skilful player in central midfield, he also has an eye for goal, opening his senior account with a wonderful strike from 25 yards in our last game of 2008 at Hartlepool. Forced his way further into the Crewe first team over time, Luke has a lot of skill for a young player and will look to continue to play a bigger part in the Alex midfield.
The 2009/10 season was a bit part season for him, although he racked up 34 appearances, the midfielder admits he would like to have played more and to have played better.
Known for his long-range goals, Luke netted three times last season, all of which came from outside the box.
