The Stoke-born Moore can play up front or in wide areas. The skilful Moore came on against a strong Liverpool side in pre-season leading up to the 2007/2008 season and then did exceeding well when starting the 1-0 win over Forest Green. Moore is another prospect player to graduate from the Alex academy.
The 2007/2008 season was a good one for the local lad, as he made a place in the side his own with his quick pace and clever ability. Scored his first senior goal against Oldham in September 2007 and followed it up with his second in November of the same year. Opened his goalscoring account last season with the winner against Bristol City in the Carling Cup that sent the Alex to Anfield in the third round. Byron uses his pace and ability to get the better of any defence, particularly when placed on the wing. Last season scored a total of four goals, one of which grabbed us a point against Oldham towards the end of the season. Also scored against Macclesfield Town as the Alex grabbed victory to win the Cheshire Premier Cup.
