Byron Moore
Born: Stoke-On-Trent, 24/08/1988

The Stoke-born Moore can play up front or in wide areas. A skilful player, Moore came on against a strong Liverpool side in the pre-season leading up to the 2007/2008 season and then did exceedingly well when starting the 1-0 win over Forest Green. Moore is another prospect player to graduate from the Alex academy.

The 2007/2008 season was a good one for the local lad, as he made a place in the side his own with his quick pace and clever ability. Scored his first senior goal against Oldham in September 2007 and followed it up with his second in November of the same year. Opened his goal scoring account in the 08/09 season with the winner against Bristol City in the Carling Cup that sent the Alex to Anfield in the third round. Byron uses his pace and ability to get the better of any defence, particularly when placed on the wing. Also scored against Macclesfield Town in 2009 as the Alex grabbed victory to win the Cheshire Premier Cup.

Last season, Byron was a regular in the first team, but had his season cut short through an injury picked up against Torquay in March 2009. After working his way through rehab, Moore was a regular for much of the 2010/11 season netting six times.

He signed a new one-year deal with Crewe in the summer of 2011 keeping him with the club until the summer of 2012.
