The Stoke-born Moore can play up front or in wide areas. The skilful Moore came on against a strong Liverpool side in pre-season leading up to the 2007/2008 season and then did exceeding well when starting the 1-0 win over Forest Green. Moore is a great prospect, who has been handed the number 18 shirt for last season.
The 2007/2008 season was a good one for the local lad, as he made a place in the side his own with his quick pace and clever ability, making a total of 36 appearances in all competitions. Scored his first senior goal against Oldham in September 2007 and followed it up with his second in November.
Byron signed a new three-year contract extension in September 2007, which will keep him with the Alex until 2010.
