'Junior' as he likes to be known signed for Crewe in the summer of 2007 after being spotted playing for Eastwood Town in the Northern Premier League. Having helped the Badgers to promotion to the Unibond Premier League, Daniel's performances attracted some interest from other Football League clubs, including Sheffield Wednesday and his hometown club Nottingham Forest - but it was Crewe who secured his services for a nominal fee.
After spending part of the 2007/2008 season on loan at Grays, Junior marked his Crewe debut as a substitute away at Hartlepool United in December.Season 2008 - 09
