A versatile defender who joined the Alex in January 2007 from Exeter, followed six months later by team-mate Billy Jones. Danny made his debut away at Bradford in February 2007.
Primarily a right back, Danny can also operate at left back and in central defence, making him an asset to any squad.
Danny began his career as a trainee of Chelsea, but was released in 2005 without having made a senior appearance. After spending some time on trial with Wycombe, he later signed for Exeter City in October 2005.
His pace and ability to take on players and provide that all last-ditch tackle made him a regular on the team-sheet during the 2007/2008 season.
Woodards finished the season in the treatment room after picking up a nasty ankle injury in early April, but following his rehabilitation programme is full recovered and ready to reclaim his spot at right-back.
