A powerful and committed defender who can play at centre half or at full back, and can even slot in to midfield if required.

He signed for Crewe Alexandra from Blue Square Premier outfit Histon in May 2009, but has also played for Exeter City and Barnet amongst others. He was an essential part of the Histon team that got to the play-off final against Torquay in 2009, narrowly missing out on a place in the Football League.

It was a mixed season for him in the 2009/10 campaign. He started the season as a first choice centre half, but come the departure of Gudjon Thordarson and the take over of Dario Gradi, Pat found himself on the sidelines and having to work hard to prove himself to the new manager. He did so, and worked his way back into the starting eleven ending the season in the team. He now looks to continue that, improving and holding his place.
