Marlon signed for the Alex on a month's loan deal in January 2009 to ease some problems in defence as injury hit Crewe.
The experienced defender, on loan from Blackpool, started his career at Blackburn in 1994 before moving on to Sheffield Wednesday in 2001. It was only a brief stop before he got a move to the North-West when he signed for Preston, then Stoke City and eventually for Blackpool in 2008. He was recalled from his original loan spell by Blackpool when they were struggling with defenders due to injury, but a week later he returned for a second spell with the Alex until the end of the season.
