Stanley only had a John Brayford own goal to cheer about as their ten man side were crushed.

Calvin Zola and Clayton Donaldson netted before Stanley hit back through Alex defender John Brayford's own goal. Accrington keeper Ian Dunbavin was sent off and Ashley Westwood then netted the rebound after his spot-kick was saved. Joel Grant and Zola completed Stanley's misery.

Calvin Zola scored twice to help Crewe to secure a comfortable win and then urged his side to maintain such a pace until the end of the season.
