Lincoln defender Adam Watts admitted shutting out in-form Crewe was a real headache. Watts, 21, was instrumental in helping the Imps pick up their first away point since October in a backs-against-the-wall job at Gresty Road.
Watts said: "I hada head afterwards I was heading the ball that much."
Alex skipper Mat Mitchel-King said: "If we can carry on like this we'll end up near the play-offs."

Dario Gradi watched his Crewe side extend their unbeaten run to four games and insisted: "I've stopped the rot."
The Railwaymen had chances to win it but Clayton Donaldson, who had scored in his three previous games, blasted their best chance against the crossbar.
Gradi said: "I can't believe the game was 0-0. When I took over, the chairman said we had to sop losing. We have done that and we will keep going and see if we are around the play-offs towards the end of the season."

Clayton Donaldson, the Crewe forward when closest to breaking the deadlock when he hit the bar, but there were few other threats in the home team's first goalless draw since April.
Dario Gradi, the Crewe manager said: "I don't remember that happening for a while. I reckoned there would be goals in it, but it wasn't to be. Lincoln did a containment job. I am surprised to see them towards the bottom because they have some decent players."

Crewe's fifth clean sheet of the campaign was sweet music to their under-fire defence - although the lack of goals at the other end left frustration reverberating in the air.
The die-hards who have followed the Alex on the road have been served up better fare this term than the anguished home faithful.
The latter were left tearing their hair out again as they watched their side struggle to break down stubborn Lincoln's rearguard action.
Dario Gradi has been taking the plaudits for his onus on youth since taking charge, but Imps boss Chris Sutton hasn't been afraid to bank on kids either, even though - by his own admission - his side are likely to be in a relegation dogfight.
