Posted on: Wed 18 Oct 2006

Michael Higdon

Michael Higdon handed the Alex management a timely reminder of his goalscoring prowess, with a strike for the Alex's reserves.

The 23-year-old striker got himself on the scoresheet as Neil Baker's young side defeated Walsall reserves at Reasheath, winning 2-0 against the Saddlers.

With Higdon having put the Alex into the lead, first year professional Shaun Miller doubled the lead with his second  goal in as many games for the second string.

Miller, who missed the beginning of the season through injury having enjoyed an impressive pre-season, was also on the scoresheet against Burnley Reserves last week.

Meanwhile Alex midfielder Lee Bell came through the game unscathed following his recent ankle injury, whilst the likes of Darran Kempson and Pavol Suhaj also got more time under their belts.

Team: Stuart Tomlinson, Cavell Coo, Darran Kempson, Adam Dugdale, Christopher Flynn, John Dillon, Ben Rix, Lee Bell, Shaun Miller, Michael Higdon, Pavol Suhaj
