Cochrane scores in Luton trial

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Justin Cochrane has made a good start to a trial spell at Championship outfit Luton Town, by scoring for their reserves on Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old former Hayes midfield man, has been allowed to link up with the Kenilworth Road based club as he looks to win a contract for next season, and was immediately plunged into action with the Hatters reserves as they took on Stevenage Borough Reserves in the Pontins League.
Cochrane, who has never scored for the Railwaymen during his 77 appearance since signing from non-league Hayes in 2003, was quickly on the scoresheet in the first half as Luton drew 1-1 with the Conference outfit.
Hackney born Cochrane is out of contract with the Alex in the summer, and has made just four first team appearances for Crewe this season. He recently returned from a loan spell at League One outfit Gillingham.
