Cavell Coo - One of several youngsters aiming to impress

Crewe Alexandra's Reserves take on Port Vale at Vale Park this afternoon, and Neil Baker's side has a young feel about it.

With the likes of Richard Walker and Anthony Tonkin missing through injury, several of the clubs youngsters get the chance to impress Bakes, and watching first team manager Dario Gradi, as they look to secure professional contracts or contract extensions for next season.

Whilst the side does contain some experience in central defence, with Adie Moses and Chris McCready both playing, a number of the clubs scholars and young professionals also get their chance.

Stuart Tomlinson lines up in goal, as he grabs some match practise ahead f his expected first team home debut on Saturday, whilst Paul Bignot and Lewis Callaghan line up in the full back positions.

In midfield Ryan Lowe is joined by Michael O'Connor, Cavell Coo and Robert Lloyd whilst Michael Higdon partners Nicky Maynard up front.
