Former Crewe Alexandra front man Andy White has signed for League Two outfit Notts County following his release from Gresty Road at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old striker, who made 24 appearances for the Railwaymen last season scoring four goals, has today signed a one-year contract at Meadow Lane after Gudjon Thordasson swooped to sign him.
White wasn't offered a new contract by Dario Gradi at the end of last season, despite a decent season at Gresty Road following his free transfer signing from Notts County's local rivals Mansfield Town in the summer of 2004.
The Derby based forward, who has also played on loan with the Alex, Boston United, Kidderminster Harriers and Burton Albion having started his career in non-league football with Hucknall Town, reflected on his time with Crewe with fond memories having made the switch to Meadow Lane.
"I learned a hell of a lot in a short space of time at Crewe and I feel I am a lot better player than I was when I went there," he told Notts County's Official Website
"Dario is an unbelievable coach and I learned a lot from him. I thought I had a decent season and maybe deserved a new contract, but he thought different and that's what happens in football.
"Maybe I was at the wrong club at the wrong time."
