Crewe Alexandra have pledge their support to a local cyclist who is looking to raise more than £100,000 for the national children's charity Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jordan Connerton popped down to the Cash Generator Store in Crewe town centre this morning to offer our support as Xenon Piggott set out on his 10 mile journey.
Make-A-Wish aims to grant magical wishes to children and young people, aged between three and 17, living with life-threatening illnesses. In 2009 around 1,000 children will turn to Make-A-Wish to have their special wish granted. In each of the last two years, the number of children being referred to Make-A-Wish has increased by more than 20%. They are expecting this upward trend to continue and at any one time Make-A-Wish is working on more than 500 wishes!
Check out www.make-a-wish.org.uk for more information on the charity.
We would like to wish them all the best with reaching their target.
