Dario Gradi has told crewealex.net that Calvin Zola's performance as a second half substitute could yet see him earn a recall for the trip to Stevenage this weekend. Zola replaced Joel Grant with just over half-and-hour remaining and the Alex boss was impressed with the contribution made by the Congolese striker.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: "I thought Zola came on at Lincoln and did very well. I thought he changed the game a bit in our favour and we certainly build up more from him being there.
"He also provided a goal threat and hit the post with a header. I thought it was in when he got his head on it.
"Calvin has been brought up to be a target man and to back in too much but he has developed more to his game with us. The ball is no longer hitting him and going anywhere. There is a logic to what he wants to do.
"We will have a look at Stevenage and decide if it is better to add Zola's height to the team. That could be a factor in my selection process this week."
