Despite winning 7-0 against Barnet last weekend, Crewe Alexandra manager Dario Gradi expects to face another tough encounter at Lincoln City tomorrow. Dario is not judging League Two on that outstanding result at the Alexandra Stadium last weekend and says his players will have to be aware of the Imps' counter-attacking style.
Lincoln City boss Chris Sutton has his Lincoln City side well drilled and organised and they achieved two draws against the Railwaymen last season when conducting a containment job on us, especially here at the Alexandra Stadium. Lincoln and Crewe were at the bottom of the table after losing their opening two games, but the Imps had a fantastic 1-0 win at Gillingham last time out.
Dario told the club's official web-site: "We won 7-0 against Barnet but I still don't think there are easy games at this level. We were clinical on the day and made our chances count. We had threatened to do that in the other two games we have had this season but couldn't finish off the chances.
"We know that Lincoln are a good team to play again and they were sit back and try and hit us on the counter-attack a bit. A lot of clubs are playing like that and we have done something similar this season too.
"We have thought about that and I am told that their pitch is immaculate so we will go there and play our football.
"You just don't know about this league yet. We scored four at Cheltenham last season and could have scored eight. This year they could have scored four against us and nearly did, so the league gets tougher."
