Dario Gradi is looking to make it through to round three of the Carling Cup by causing another upset against Championship side Ipswich Town this evening. The Alex boss has already inspired a cup win over Derby County and he knows that his players will take great heart from that win and the 7-0 victory over Barnet at the weekend.
Ahead of this evening's Carling Cup tie at Gresty Road, Dario told the club's official web-site: "The players have already shown against Derby that they can overcome a Championship side and I don't think there will be that much difference between Derby and Ipswich.
"They both try and play football the right way and we will have to be at our best to beat Ipswich, like we were against Derby in the last round.
"We have come close to knocking out Manchester United in the past and played reasonably well at Liverpool when Steve Holland was in charge, so we know what we are capable of on our day.
"This team certainly won't ever lie down and die and Ipswich will know they have been in a game. It should be a good game of football and I want the fans to come and enjoy it. Hopefully we will be able to give them something to celebrate again tonight."
