Morrisons backs 'Wear Your Shirt to Work Day' in support of the England 2018 FIFA World Cup™ Bid
As a partner of the England 2018 World Cup bid, Morrisons is supporting tomorrow's Wear Your Shirt To Work Day, an initiative encouraging fans to wear their favourite football shirt to work for one day only, all in aid of England's bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
In a bid to unite fans across the country Morrisons is asking staff and customers nationwide to kick of their everyday uniform and Wear their Shirt to Work on Tuesday 24th August, a date which marks 100 days until FIFA decide who will host the 2018 World Cup.
Since March, the supermarket has gathered 1.5 million signatures in support of England's 2018 FIFA World Cup™ bid in store. By hosting Wear Your Shirt To Work Day the supermarket looks to further encourage customers to back the bid and will be awarding spot prizes to the first 10 customers that come into each store donning a football Shirt
Michael Bates, Morrisons Marketing Director, said: "During the Bid campaign England has shown the pride, passion and depth of support that exists behind bringing the World Cup to this country in 2018, and Wear Your Shirt To Work Day gives staff, fans and customers alike, the chance to feel a part of the process."
