Dario Gradi says he will be keeping his and his players' feet firmly on the floor after Crewe Alexandra got their league season up-and-running with a 7-0 win over Barnet on Saturday. The Alex boss wants his players to remain fully focussed on trying to overcome Ipswich Town in the Carling Cup tomorrow evening and suggests that no-one at the Football Club is getting carried away.
Dario told the club's official web-site: "You do not often get a win like we did but I think it was a great reward for the players and the hard work they have been putting in. They deserved that.
"We won't be getting too carried away. We didn't get carried away when we lost a couple of games, so we won't be getting carried away because we have had a victory.
"When we have opened the season with two defeats, you are concerned but in my experience you just have to carry on what you are doing. I believe we have a decent team here and it was good to see them click on Saturday.
"It is nice to know that they are capable of doing that. It is reassuring to know they can play some really good football, take chances and score seven goals."
