Despite not yet picking up a league point from our opening two games of the season, Dario Gradi is certainly not panicking. Crewe Alexandra could have collected at least four points from our games with Hereford and Cheltenham but haven't had the rub of the green or the clinical finish to tie up the points.
It has led to a frustrating start to the new campaign; especially as the club demonstrated their potential with a superb 1-0 win over Derby County in the Carling Cup.
Dario told crewealex.net: "I think we have been unlucky but we haven't got any points on the board and we cannot be putting that down to bad luck all of the time. We haven't had any luck from the corner we should have had against Hereford before their corner to the two penalties we should have had at Cheltenham.
"We also hit the post in the final minute so we didn't have much fortune in that game, but we have to be aware where we went wrong at the other end too.
"There have only been two games and I have no reason not to optimistic about how our season will go. The lads played some wonderful two-touch football in training this week and I've told them that I can be nothing but impressed with the quality of football they show in training.
"Now we have to replicate that in the games and we are good enough to do that."
