Crewe Alexandra midfielder Ashley Westwood is expected to resume training today after missing the weekend's trip to Torquay with an ear infection. Westwood, 19, was unable to make the trip south after missing a couple of days training with the infection but he is fully expected to declare himself fit for this weekend's visit of Notts County.

Dario told crewealex.net: "Ashley has had an ear infection but we are hopeful that he will back out there training today. It looks as though it has cleared up and that will be available for selection this weekend.

"If he trains well this week then he will play on Saturday because he has been in good form and only missed the one game."
