Dario Gradi has hinted towards making changes for the visit of Grimsby tomorrow night. The Alex manager was none to pleased with the defending that saw Crewe drop more home points against Barnet.
The Railwaymen had to fight back from 2-1 down at half time to earn a point and Dario says he may make one or two changes to freshen things up. With Steven Schumacher and captain Mat Mitchel-King fit and available for selection again, Dario could call on two senior players who were back on the substitutes bench on Saturday.
Another option could see the versatile Ashley Westwood move back into his preferred central midfield role. Westwood influenced the game much more from that position in the second half, hitting the Barnet post and creating the equalising goal with a clever free-kick.
Dario is also hoping to have leading scorer Calvin Zola available again after injury, but if he is fit he may have to settle for a place on the bench following Clayton Donaldson's form on Saturday.
Dario told the club's official web-site: "I have one or two things in mind for Tuesday night and may look to freshen things up. It won't be major surgery but I have virtually everyone fit and a few options to choice from.
"I couldn't find a place on the bench for Danny Shelley on Saturday. It is not as though I have lost faith on him. Far from it, he is improving all the time but we have nearly a full squad to choose from and he just knows that he has got to be patient.
"We have a lot of young players, who are fit and they have to deal with two games in a short space of time. We have had James Bailey coming back recently but if I was to ask him how he was this morning, he would say fine.
"We can cover most positions at the moment and that is a good position to be in."
