Everyone at Crewe Alexandra Football Club has been shocked and saddened by the sad passing of the Macclesfield Town manager Keith Alexander.

Keith, 53, was a real football guy and will be sorely missed by everyone within the game.

It is a sad day for football and our condolences go out to the family and friends of Keith and everyone associated with Macclesfield Town Football Club.

Keith Alexander passed away following Macclesfield Town's 1-0 defeat to Notts County last night. He also managed Lincoln and Peterborough United.
