Dario Gradi went to watch 'trialist' Jordan Connerton in action last night in Lancaster City's match with Curzon Ashton last night, only for the striker to be ruled out of the game because of injury. Connerton, who has been training with the Railwaymen in at attempt to earn himself a contract was injured in the warm up and had to withdraw.
Dario explained the situation to the club's official web-site: "Neil and myself went to watch Jordan last night play for Lancaster but he was injured in the warm up. We arrived at the ground to be told by the PA announcer.
"Jordan was hobbling a bit on Friday but played Saturday but he had to pull out last night.
"He is a goal scorer. I've haven't particularly seen that in training yet because of the work we have been doing, but he does have a decent record of goals.
"Neil (Baker) is keen on him so when he comes recommended he is one to have a look at. What we have got to decide on is if he is going to play games here because we do have a lot of strikers.
"He has got to stand out because there are a lot of ahead of him here at the moment."
