O'Donnell Hoping To Avoid Bore Draw

Posted on: Fri 26 Feb 2010

Crewe Alexandra centre-back Danny O'Donnell expects Lincoln to be a lot more offensive when it comes to our re-arrange match. Chris Sutton's side were certainly content with a goalless draw and a point on their visit to Gresty Road, but O'Donnell is convinced that the Alex can break them down tomorrow.

Danny told Crewe Alex Player: "Because of the forward players we have here, teams have sat back against us in games and made it difficult for us to break them down. That has happened a few times this season, especially at home and that was certainly the case when Lincoln came to Crewe earlier in the season.

"Now they are in front of their home fans, I am sure they will come out and attack us a bit more. Whether their home fans will be happy with a bore draw again I don't know, so I would imagine they will look to win the game.

"That should leave them a bit exposed and hopefully we can advantage of those opportunities on the counter attack."
