Dario Gradi has told the club's official web-site that he expects another tough encounter at Sincil Bank tomorrow. The Alex boss is certainly hoping for more of a spectacle than the bore draw from earlier in the season when the Imps' new boss Chris Sutton got his defensive tactics spot-on.
A well-organised Lincoln side came to Gresty Road looking to keep things awfully tight and left with a well-deserved point following an instantly forgettable 0-0 draw. Sutton had scouted our previous game at Chesterfield, in which we won 3-2 and knew that he had to try and contain our front three.
Dario told the club's official web-site: "We were there to watch Lincoln on Wednesday night and although they were well beaten after making a terrible start, they will be hard to beat again. Every team we have faced this season has been difficult.
"We were 3-0 up at half-time against Darlington at home and then found it difficult in the second half. We couldn't get near their goal again and found it tough going.
"It was like that when Lincoln came to Crewe. They were happy with a goalless draw and approached the game like that. Chris Sutton is a bright young manager and he did his homework on us and stopped us creating chances.
"They deserved their point that day, but I'm sure they will try and attack a bit more in front of their own fans than they did that day."
