Dario Gradi is after a vast improvement from his side's second half performance against an in-form Chesterfield side on Wednesday night. John Sheridan's side extend their winning streak to six matches following Drew Talbot's 27th minute winner at Gresty Road and although Crewe did enjoy some good possession the Alex boss wasn't not pleased with the quality on show in the final third.
Crewe will be looking to bounce back against Chris Sutton's Lincoln City side tomorrow afternoon and Dario wants an improved performance.
Dario told the club's official web-site: "There were some positives to take from the game on Wednesday, there always are but there were more negatives. We were poor in the second half and didn't test them enough.
"Chesterfield were pleased with their one goal and dropped off and defended very well but we didn't do nearly enough to open them up. That needs to improve because the approach towards their goal wasn't good enough.
"Saying that we did create some good chances without playing too well and Matt Tootle nearly saved the day with the final touch of the game. He got in there and was unlucky not to score.
"I thought it was a really lacklustre performance in the second half because we were playing too many long balls. We did have our fair share of possession but didn't use it right in the right places.
"The players know they will have to improve on their second half performance from Wednesday night and we have been working on the remedy this week and are prepared for Lincoln."
