Dario 'Spoilt For Choice At The Moment'

Posted on: Tue 23 Feb 2010

Dario Gradi has told the club's official web-site that he is becoming 'spoilt for choice' in his team's selections after recently welcoming James Bailey back from injury and having the impending return of Calvin Zola and Mat Mitchel-King later on in the week.

Crewe take on Chesterfield tomorrow evening with the manager full of choice. Does he move Saturday's two-goal hero Ashley Westwood back into midfield or keep him at left-back? Does he recall Matt Tootle at left-back and re-jig his midfield to include Westwood and perhaps Luke Murphy?

Does he consider bringing back Clayton Donaldson up front or will he elect to go with Shaun Miller and Byron Moore for the third game running? The Alex boss admits that he has one or two things to consider but that it is nice to have options available to him.

Dario told crewealex.net: "I do have virtually a full squad to choice from. It is really only Steven Schumacher (back) we are waiting on. Calvin and Mat Mitchel-King are expected to return to training later this week so that gives us even more choice.

"I am okay for numbers at the moment and the bench has been strong for a few weeks now. We have players on there at the moment who can change games, such as Clayton and Danny Gardner, so I am spoilt for choice.

"I have one or two places to consider at the moment but that is a good position to be in."
