Crewe Alexandra have announced that they have given permission to Michael O'Connor for him to speak to Championship club Scunthorpe United about a possible transfer move.

Whilst not wishing to lose Michael from the squad he is keen to explore opportunities to develop his career.

O'Connor, a full international with Northern Ireland will meet with Scunthorpe United officials later today to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
