Ada: "Mat Will Be A Key Signing"
Patrick Ada has told crewealex.net that he is excited by the prospect of teaming up again with his former captain at Histon, Mat Mitchel-King. Ada played alongside Mitchel-King for two seasons and celebrated famous FA Cup giant killing acts against Swindon and Leeds. Histon narrowly missed out on promotion to the Football League last season losing narrowly in the play-off final to Torquay United. Now Ada and Mitchel-King are determined to prove that they are ready to make the step up.
Patrick told the club's official web-site: "I spoke to Mat over the weekend and he is just excited by the prospect of coming to Crewe and testing himself at the higher level. He is exited by the challenge and I'm sure he cannot wait to get going.
"We are both looking forward to it and it will be nice to play alongside him again. I have played alongside him for two years at Histon and he is a strong player and a leader. He is versatile, like me, and can play in defence or in midfield.
"He will be looking to take his chance and prove that he can in the league. I'm sure we are both capable of making that step up into the League."
