Crewe Alexandra manager Gudjon Thordarson is expected to make his second summer later today after Histon's Captain Mat Mitchel-King agreed personal terms with the club. King is to undergo a medical later today before officially putting pen-to-paper.
The 6ft 4, 25-year-old defender will join his former Histon team-mate Patrick Ada, at the club after the Cameroon defender signed for the club at the end of May.
King was considered to be one of the outstanding centre halves in the Blue Square Premier Division last season as Histon narrowly missed out on promotion to the league.King made a total of 163 appearances since his arrival at Histon in 2005. He has also played for Cambridge United, Cambridge City and Mildenhall Town.
On completion of his deal, Mathew will link up with his new team mates straight away to begin pre-season training ahead of our first fixture on Sunday 5th July against Newcastle Town.
