Gudjon Thordarson has revealed that a recent scouting mission has answered a few questions as he steps up his search for new players. The Icelander spent the weekend watching a number of clubs still in action and he admits that there were some good things he saw and some not so good.

Gudjon told crewealex.net: "I found the weekend games very useful because it gave me a chance to see a few players in action that we could be interested in. There were a few things I liked and there were some I wasn't that impressed with.

"That is useful because it has answered a few questions for me. It was worthwhile to see these players for myself and assess things. I know the quality I'm after and will wait for the right player to come along."
