'I Had To Be Fair To Ryan'
Steve Holland has told the club's official web-site that he allowed Ryan Lowe to join Stockport County on loan to only to be fair to the frustrated player. Restricted of regular action, Lowe had made it known to the management that he wished to get some competitive games under his belt. Lowe has joined Jim Gannon's side on a temporary basis and could be set for an exciting end to the season as The Hatters battle it out for a place in the play-offs.
Holland was happy for Lowe to remain at Gresty Road and help us fight our own battle at the bottom of League One but with an influx of loan players coming into the club, he was willing to let the former Shrewsbury and Chester striker play some games.
Steve told crewealex.net: "I was happy for Ryan to stay here and for him to fight for a place. By his own admission he says he didn't play as well as he would have liked earlier in the season when he was getting chances in his team and he has been working very hard to try and get back in.
"I have been happy with the way we have looked going forward. We have looked as dangerous in recent games as we have all season. It is something we want to persevere with and Ryan said he wanted to play some games.
The club's first team coach added: "He has been excellent and has been waiting patiently for another chance. There was interest in four clubs in the lower leagues but he has elected to go to Stockport. I am sure they could have an exciting end to the season and there could be a possible Wembley trip at the end of the season."
