Three points were collected at Burton Albion on Friday night in a performance that has pleased Dario, him admitting it was a professional performance against a decent side.
Dario and his management team expected a tough game, and for Burton to be a better side then when they travelled to Crewe Alexandra earlier in the season, as they had made some signings to improve their squad, and with some lively forwards, Dario said the defending on the night was excellent.
Dario told us: "I said to the players after the game, that that was a professional performance. It has been a long time since I have been in this league, and it has got better, every team is decent now and Burton were certainly that, and that is what we expected.
"The defence did well on the night, we had a good analysis of what had happened at Rochdale and that was fruitful, I thought the defending was excellent.
"I thought I would have been happy with a point at one stage, they were putting us under a lot of pressure without really creating too many chances. We didn't make any mistakes though which was a real plus, and like I said, we defended as a team. The centre forwards ran a little extra because we were getting back, but it was a super goal from Shaun. I'm delighted for the players, and I'm delighted for the fans."
